What Is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional security layer that protects your account.
With 2FA enabled, you will be required to provide a second verification code when logging in or performing sensitive actions. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account.
How Do I Activate 2FA?
Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area
- Visit the official Veo Markets website
- Click “Sign In”
- Enter your registered email address and password
Step 2: Go to Security Settings
- Click your Profile icon in the top right corner
- Select “Security” from the dropdown menu
Step 3: Enable Two-Factor Authentication
In the Security section:
- Locate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Choose your preferred verification method:
- Google Authenticator
- SMS Confirmation
- Google Authenticator
- Enable the feature using the toggle switch
Option 1: Google Authenticator (Recommended)
Google Authenticator generates time-based verification codes on your mobile device.
Step 1: Install the App
Download the Google Authenticator app from:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
Step 2: Scan the QR Code
- Open the Google Authenticator app
- Scan the QR code displayed in your Client Area
A verification code will appear in your app.
Step 3: Confirm Activation
- Enter the generated code into the required field
- Click Continue
2FA will now be successfully activated using Google Authenticator.
Option 2: SMS Confirmation
SMS authentication sends a one-time verification code to your registered phone number.
Step 1: Confirm Your Phone Number
- Enter or confirm your registered phone number
- Click Continue
Step 2: Enter the SMS Code
- You will receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS
- Enter the code in the provided field
- Click Continue
SMS-based 2FA will now be activated.
Important
Once 2FA is enabled, you will be required to enter a verification code:
- When logging in
- When performing sensitive account actions
