How to Use Lots Proportion Strategy in Social Trading?

What Is the Lots Proportion Strategy?

The Lots Proportion strategy allows Auto-Copiers to scale copied trades based on predefined volume steps linked to their current Balance or Equity.

Instead of using a dynamic multiplier (like Autoscale), Lots Proportion uses fixed step-based calculations.

This strategy is suitable for traders who want structured and predictable volume scaling.

 

How Does Lots Proportion Work?

Lots Proportion calculates trade size using:

  • Your current Balance or Equity

     
  • A predefined Volume per Step

     
  • A defined Lots Step value

     

 

Calculation Formula

Trade Volume =
Volume per Step × (Autocopier Balance or Equity ÷ Lots Step)

The result determines the copied lot size.

 

Example 1 – Direct Copy

Leader Trade Size: 1 lot (Buy)
Autocopier Balance: $2,000
Volume per Step: 0.1
Lots Step: 1,000
Copy Direction: Direct

Calculation:

0.1 × (2000 ÷ 1000)
= 0.1 × 2
= 0.2 lots

Result:
You open 0.2 lots on the Buy side (same direction as Leader).

 

Example 2 – Reverse Copy

Leader Trade Size: 1 lot (Sell)
Autocopier Balance: $3,000
Volume per Step: 0.5
Lots Step: 500
Copy Direction: Reverse

Calculation:

0.5 × (3000 ÷ 500)
= 0.5 × 6
= 3 lots

Result:
You open 3 lots on the Buy side (opposite direction).

 

Copy Direction Options

  • Direct → Same direction as the Leader

     
  • Reverse → Opposite direction

     

 

How to Configure Lots Proportion

  1. Log in to your Client Area.

     
  2. Go to Social Trading.

     
  3. Open My Portfolio / Subscription Settings.

     
  4. Select the Leader.

     
  5. Go to Subscription Strategy.

     
  6. Set:

     
    • Volume Scaling → Lots Proportion

       
    • Compared Value → Balance or Equity

       
    • Volume per Step

       
    • Lots Step

       
    • Copy Direction

       
  7. Click Save Changes.

     

 

Can I Use Lots Proportion with Multiple Leaders?

Yes.

Each Leader’s trades will be calculated independently using your current Balance or Equity.

Total exposure across Leaders should be monitored carefully.

 

Important Notes

  • Existing open trades are not recalculated when settings change.

     
  • Higher Volume per Step increases exposure significantly.

     
  • Reverse copying increases directional risk.

     
  • Always monitor margin levels when copying multiple Leaders.
